My clients are empaths who are ready to prioritize themselves and their growth.
You grew up feeling compelled to prioritize the needs of others and to excel to feel valued, resulting in struggles with self-trust and anxiety as adults. Therapy with me looks like learning to embrace the truth that you are enough and your needs matter. You describe yourself as highly sensitive, often overwhelmed by your caretaking roles in relationships and your sensitivities to transitions, spaces, and people. You also self-identify as a people-pleaser, often worrying about how you’re perceived and being a burden to others. Together, we can find the self-compassion and balance you trust.
A few things clients say after sessions with me are:
I can hear myself out and receive the understanding I’m looking for
I know how to stay curious about my overwhelming emotions and they no longer take over
I can and know how to express different needs and desires of mine in relationships
I understand it might be difficult for a person of color to see a white therapist so I don’t pretend to be color evasive and am actively addressing issues of privilege and intersectionality. My clients ask big questions that have deep implications for their relationships, careers, and identities. My role is to help you stay the course with difficult questions and glean transformative information that can lead to developing an enriching relationship with yourself, your decisions, and people in your life.
Special welcome to Highly Sensitive Over-thinkers, Loved Ones of Addicts, and High-Achieving People Pleasers.
