Meet Gabriella Elise Giorgio

I identify as a neurodivergent person with an understanding that our identities are multifaceted and complex. As a mother in her mid 30s to a toddler, I have been challenged with the task of reparenting myself as an adult. I am a sober woman who has experienced attachment wounds, so I am keenly aware of how a person can seek escape or engage in codependent behaviors in ways that feel unmanageable and ultimately perpetuate feelings of loneliness.

With a non-pathological and a relational approach, I help people heal from childhood trauma so that they may feel safe in their relationships and in their bodies. Clients describe me as authentic, direct, and grounded.

I am an Associate Marriage & Family Therapist #140682, supervised by Sharon Yu, LMFT #50028. Trained in the Gottman Method of couples therapy and Internal Family Systems (Level 1 in progress), I support individuals and partners in engaging in constructive conflict, deepening friendship and intimacy, and enhancing the shared meaning of their lives.

My clients want to understand themselves so profoundly that they find the self-trust that leads to authentic and connected relationships.

My clients want to heal relational and attachment injuries. They desire to be more compassionate with themselves but struggle with constant self-criticism. The more they try to be kind to themselves, the more their inner voice shames them for imperfections and mistakes. They feel the hopelessness of resolving this internal battle, so they either zone out or become hyper-focused on productivity.

My clients are highly masked autistic women who experience chronic exhaustion, disconnection, and a quiet sense of “something being off” after years of social performance and self-monitoring. Many are exploring neurodiverent-friendly self-care and more opportunities to unmask. In our work, we gently unpack the role of masking, build and rebuild self-trust, and identify nervous-system–honoring accommodations so that life can feel more sustainable, authentic, and connected, both internally and in relationships.

My clients are neurodiverse couples navigating a life stage where not feeling seen or understood has intensified sensory strain, communication ruptures, and painful cycles of hurt and defensiveness. Many feel deeply lonely even beside the person they love, stuck in a “roommate” dynamic and unsure how to reconnect. Amid sleep deprivation, uneven emotional labor, and profound identity shifts such as into parenthood, each partner often experiences the same transition through very different nervous systems, attachment needs, and inner worlds.
